Malaysia’s No 1 isotonic drink, 100Plus, is celebrating its return as an official partner of the Standard Chartered KL Marathon (SCKLM) by offering 100 free entries to the race on Sept 29.

With entries for this year already taken up through the official channel including a recent ballot, 100Plus is providing a lifeline for runners to participate via a contest which goes live on its Facebook page tomorrow and ends on March 18.

Contestants will have to snap a photo, tag a friend and submit their entries and 50 lucky winners will win two SCKLM entries each.

“We will set up drink stations along the routes for the benefit of the 38,000 runners,” said F&N Beverages Marketing Sdn Bhd marketing director Graham Lim.

“At this year’s SCKLM, the public will get to taste 100Plus Active, a product intended for thirst quenching by providing sufficient energy during and after sports to replace fluids lost in sweat.

“This non-carbonated Isotonic drink rehydrates, replenishes and re-energises with added Vitamin B3, B6 and B12.”

100Plus recently announced it had renewed its partnership with SCKLM with a four-year deal. Also present at the event were Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer Abrar A. Anwar, F&N Beverages Marketing sponsorship and activation manager Engku Isyamuddin Tuan Losin, Dirigo Events director Gloria Ng, and Dirigo Events director and SCKLM project director Rainer Biemans.

The last time 100Plus sponsored the marathon was in 2016.

In addition to the drink stations, 100Plus is lining up several activities such as cheerleading teams positioned at strategic locations along the route to encourage runners to give their best.

There will also be an activation booth at the finish line to help engage the runners and fans alike.

The partnership with SCKLM sees 100Plus maintain its position as a strong supporter of leading sports events in the country, which includes the recent AFF Cup, Malaysian Football League and Malaysian Open badminton as the brand also supported Twentytwo13’s Sila Lari, Jangan Duduk Fun Run 2018.

100Plus supports the Football Association of Malaysia, the Badminton Association of Malaysia and the National Sports Council.

Leading national athletes like Datuk Lee Chong Wei, Goh Jin Wei and Khairul Jantan are its brand ambassadors.
