MAEPS’ hospital feat makes Malaysians proud

The feat by the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) in converting its convention centre into a temporary hospital within four days has somewhat lifted the gloom for many who have been confined to their homes for more than two weeks.

The Twentytwo13 article yesterday features the journey of MAEPS as narrated by its chief executive officer Norafizah Rahman who related how 150 people worked hard to overcome obstacles throughout the Movement Control Order to put the facility together.

The pride and patriotism of Malaysians is evident in the numerous responses to our report yesterday. While China took 10 days to build a 1,000-bed hospital from scratch to treat Covid-19 patients, Malaysia also stands tall with MAEPS’ feat of setting up a facility that houses 600 beds.
