Dear Diary,

Congratulations to Health director-general Datuk Seri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah who was named by China Global TV Network as one of the three leading doctors fighting the spread of the Covid-19 virus. The others are the United States’ infectious disease expert Dr Anthony Fauci and New Zealand’s director-general of health Dr Ashley Bloomfield.

Meanwhile, Higher Education Minister Datuk Noraini Ahmad is slammed for wearing personal protective equipment while visiting a Covid-19 lab at UiTM Private Specialist Centre in Sungai Buloh yesterday.

7.34am: DESPERATE TIMES – Canadian hospitals prepare to sterilize and re-use N95 masks if supplies dwindle. In Germany, Chancellor Angela Merkel says masks recommended in shops and public transport.

9.37am: WHAT’S IN A NAME? – The ‘19’ in ‘Covid-19’ refers to the disease first being detected in 2019 and not how many kilogrammes you will put on by the time MCO ends.
