Dr Evelyn Khor was a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics at University Malaya for 25 years. Prior to her retirement, she was director of the International and Corporate Relations Office at the university. She has been actively involved in community work in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, particularly neighbourhood security, and contributes to the community's newsletter regularly.
