PETALING JAYA: BAC Education Group formalised a landmark memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia (IIA Malaysia), marking a significant step in the group’s commitment to produce globally competitive, professionally credentialled graduates.
The MoU was exchanged at the C-Suite Connect 2026 forum held at the Horizon Banquet Hall, Menara BAC, Petaling Jaya, an exclusive leadership event jointly hosted by BAC Education Group and HRD Academy themed “Building Future-Ready Leaders for the AI Economy.”
The collaboration between BAC Education Group and IIA Malaysia responds directly to a widening talent gap in the internal audit profession at a time when the nation’s economy recorded a strong 5.4 per cent gross domestic product (GDP) growth in the first quarter of the year.
Through this partnership, BAC Education Group will leverage its network of institutions, including Veritas University College, Brickfields Asia College, IACT College, Reliance College, University Malaysia of Computer Science and Engineering, and BAC College (Singapore), to deliver:
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification pathways: Tutorial and structured revision programmes for the CIA qualification, including CIA Parts 1, 2 and 3, embedded as elective components within BAC’s MBA programmes.
- Postgraduate specialisation in Internal Audit: MBA pathways with a dedicated Internal Audit specialisation, enabling working professionals to earn a recognised postgraduate degree while progressing toward global certification.
- Continuous Professional Development: Joint workshops, seminars, digital programmes and career engagement sessions targeting emerging risk areas and governance challenges.
- AI and Innovation-Focused Education: Collaborative programmes that integrate technology awareness, AI literacy and research into professional development for the internal audit sector.
- Student and Community Engagement: Career talks, awareness programmes and participation in IIA Malaysia’s community to connect BAC students and alumni with the internal audit profession.
“In an age where technology is reshaping every profession, the real competitive advantage lies not simply in having a qualification, but in continuously building skills, credibility, and professional relevance,” said Raja Singham, BAC Education Group co-founder and chief future officer.

IIA Malaysia president, Suhailah Mohamed Abdulla, said the collaboration will strengthen its ability to develop more professionals who are both technically proficient and strategically equipped to serve as trusted advisors in Malaysia’s governance ecosystem.
“Our economic expansion demands internal auditors who do more than check boxes; they must actively create, protect and sustain corporate values. This initiative expands our strategic efforts to raise more Certified Internal Auditors in Malaysia and to grow our membership base,” said Suhailah.
The MoU exchange took place at C-Suite Connect 2026, BAC Education Group’s flagship leadership forum, which brought together senior executives, academics and industry thought leaders to address the challenges and opportunities of the AI economy.
The event featured speakers including Chiew Sin Kwang, the chief technology officer of Daythree Digital Bhd and chief executive officer of Daythree AI Labs Sdn Bhd; Simon Benjamin, Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management president; Suhailah; Prof. Amer Hamzah Jantan, deputy vice-chancellor of Veritas University College; and Prof. Dr Vikneswaran Nair, the deputy vice-chancellor of University Malaysia of Computer Science & Engineering, serving as moderator.
