Classic hockey sticks, 2019 Rugby World Cup balls, up for grabs at ‘Sila Lari, Jangan Duduk’ Fun Run 2018

Fancy winning a classic limited-edition hockey stick or Gilbert Rugby World Cup 2019 ball?

These are good enough reasons for hockey and rugby enthusiasts to sign up for Twentytwo13’s ‘Sila Lari, Jangan Duduk’ Fun Run 2018 on Nov 4 at Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur.

Who do we have to thank for these amazing collector’s items which will be part of a lucky draw after the run?

Kuckreja & Co!

“The first thing that came to mind when I was informed of the ‘Sila Lari, Jangan Duduk’ Fun Run 2018 was (Twentytwo13 Editor) Haresh Deol!” exclaimed the man behind the sports company, Mohanjit Kuckreja.

“I’m not a big fan of running. I prefer hiking. But a fun run is still a sporting activity and as a sports company, I am all for such events. Also, it’s for a good cause.”

Besides promoting a healthy lifestyle, a percentage of the profits from the fun run will go towards Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur Athletics Association’s (FTKLAA) development fund.

The items to be given away at the lucky draw are:

  • two G500 Carbo hockey sticks
  • 10 Gilbert RWC 2019 balls.
  • four Trident frisbees.

Kuckreja & Co also pledged RM2,500 in cash and will send a team to participate in the run.

“The hockey sticks were the same models used by the likes of Datuk Minarwan Nawawi and Maninderjit Singh during the height of their careers in the 1990s. The rugby balls, representing 10 countries, are the official balls for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.”

“As for the frisbee, throwing it is a great family activity.

“I’ll be walking, so will some of the Kuckreja & Co family,” added Mohanjit, who became a ‘datuk’ (grandfather) recently.

The company had last year sponsored national 110m hurdler and 2017 SEA Games gold medalist Rayzam Shah Wan Sofian.
