So how do you kill time with your family and loved ones?
By playing or inventing new games or activities!
This was the topic of discussion in this weekend’s The RSS with HD as actor and comedian Rashid Salleh and Twentytwo13 editor Haresh Deol list down some of the activities they have embarked on in recent weeks.
Here are some of their suggestions that will bring you down memory lane:
Carrom
Like it or not, this sport is HUGE. There is the International Carrom Federation that organises the ICF Cup and the World Cup. In fact, the 6th ICF Cup was held in Kuala Lumpur in 2011.
Board games
There’s Monopoly, Snakes and Ladders, chess and Ludo, among others. For the record, chess is played at the SEA Games and judging by how frequently the list of sports contested is changed, you could be Malaysia’s first Snakes and Ladders champion at the regional games.
Weightlifting
You’d be surprised at how much weightlifting you can do at home. From filling up flasks to use as dumbbells to lifting your child’s bicycle, you’re spoilt for choice! Just remember not to overdo it as you may end up injuring yourself.
Grappling/wrestling
Yes, you heard us right! If you have an adventurous household, try some grappling moves with the family. A word of caution though – move all the furniture aside as that leg will eventually land on a precious item. Also, it’s a great way to de-stress! Just don’t choke your wife or girlfriend, or you’ll be sleeping on the sofa.
