Helloween set to ignite Kuala Lumpur with new and iconic songs

Metal band Helloween performing on stage.

For four decades, Helloween has defined and redefined the sound of power metal. Formed in Hamburg in 1984, the band pioneered the genre with landmark albums such as ‘Keeper of the Seven Keys: Part I’ (1987) and ‘Keeper of the Seven Keys: Part II’ (1988).

Over the years, the band has released more than 16 studio albums, collected an impressive array of accolades – about 15 gold awards and six platinum awards – and sold well over 10 million copies worldwide.

Their recognitions include the Metal Hammer Award (Germany), the Echo Award, the Kerrang! Award, the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Rock, and the Japanese Gold Disc Award, underscoring their international influence and enduring legacy.

The band is set to ignite the stage at Zepp Kuala Lumpur on Dec 8 for its 40th Anniversary Tour. Demand has been overwhelming. All seated and premium-section tickets have sold out. The only option left is the Free Standing ticket at RM330, and they are disappearing fast.

This concert is far more than a greatest-hits night. For the first time in Malaysia, fans will see three vocalists sharing the stage – frontman Andi Deris, alongside returning icons Michael Kiske and Kai Hansen. This rare formation unites the band’s different eras into one electrifying live experience, a moment many fans thought would never happen.

This sense of unity and passion underpins their new album, Giants & Monsters, released on Aug 29, and it promises fresh material alongside the classics.

Fans may even hear the new tracks before most of the world. Expect decades of hits and a career-spanning setlist, from early speed and power metal classics to later modern favourites. The tour setlist is expected to include anthems such as I Want Out, Dr Stein, Eagle Fly Free, Keeper of the Seven Keys and Future World, among many others – plus a few surprises.

The concert marks an exclusive stop on the Asian leg of the 40th Anniversary Tour. Kuala Lumpur is among a very select list of Asian cities on the schedule.
