Donald Trump recently won the United States presidential election, defeating Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, who replaced Joe Biden midway through the campaign. Harris had insufficient time to reverse the damage caused by Biden’s tenure.
American voters believe that through their votes, they have established a democratic government of the people, by the people, and for the people. They trust their elected leaders to represent their interests and ensure the well-being of ordinary Americans.
However, the reality often differs. The president, Congress (both the Senate and the House of Representatives), and other elected officials frequently prioritise the interests of their handlers – big businesses, multinational corporations, and lobbyists who fund their campaigns – over the needs of the people.
For instance, Elon Musk, who contributed over US$100 million to Trump’s campaign, was rewarded with a high-ranking government position to co-lead efforts in improving government efficiency.
One of the most influential entities shaping the American government is AIPAC (the American Israel Public Affairs Committee), the powerful pro-Israel lobby.
AIPAC has made it a crime to criticise Israel, branding such criticism as anti-Semitic. This narrative has conditioned Americans and Europeans into believing that being anti-Semitic involves unfairly harassing or demeaning a peaceful, law-abiding group – the Jews. Yet history shows that Zionists, far from embodying these qualities, are often seen as manipulative, ungrateful, and violent.
How else can one explain the United States’ complicity in the ongoing genocide in Palestine? By providing Israel with military assets, bombs, and ammunition, the US directly sustains the atrocities.
Additionally, the US consistently vetoes United Nations Security Council resolutions and opposes General Assembly resolutions condemning Israel’s barbaric actions. The absurdity reached its peak when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was invited to address the US Congress, where he received standing ovations for a speech riddled with fabrications.
On matters concerning Israel, the US appears to have forfeited its sovereignty. American foreign policy is dictated by the Jewish/Zionist lobby, prioritising their interests over national or global concerns.
The average American is either unaware or misled by Zionist propaganda, which portrays unwavering support for Israel as essential to national interests. The narrative frames Arabs and Muslims as perpetual threats, and Israel as a protective ally in the Middle East.
This manipulation convinces Americans that Israel’s actions, however brutal, are a service to global security. In reality, these false narratives merely shield Zionist agendas.
The influence of AIPAC and Israel over American governance is glaring in how US taxpayers’ money is spent. Instead of addressing pressing domestic issues – such as homelessness in cities like Seattle, Los Angeles, and New York, or improving healthcare, education, and support for the poor – billions are funnelled to Israel to advance its agenda.
These funds are used to sustain the genocide of Palestinians rather than improving the lives of Americans.
If war crimes warrants are issued for Israeli leaders like Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant, similar charges should apply to outgoing US President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin for their complicity.
Biden’s subservience to AIPAC and Zionist interests was evident in his outrage over these warrants. He dismissed Israeli atrocities, claiming Hamas was the aggressor and Israel the victim – a predictable stance from a self-declared Zionist.
In a move to shield their handlers, Congress and the House of Representatives are now considering sanctions against the International Criminal Court and its officials for issuing the arrest warrants.
Both the United States and Israel openly disregard international law, rejecting the authority of bodies like the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.
Overwhelming evidence of Israel’s barbarism – indiscriminate killings and inhumane treatment – has been presented to the ICC, leading it to conclude that Israel is guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Yet, the American government turns a blind eye, bound by the dictates of AIPAC and Zionist propaganda, which dehumanises Palestinians as subhuman and justifies their annihilation as a religious imperative.
Had the American government been independent of such influences, led by leaders who uphold justice and the rule of law, they could have ended the Gaza conflict far earlier, saving thousands of lives.
