Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, who has been implicated in a sex video, said the episode was a “nefarious plot” to assassinate his reputation in an attempt to destroy his political career.
Earlier today, Muhammad Haziq Aziz who is the aide to Deputy Primary Industries Minister Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Akin, confessed he was one of the men in the video and even urged the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to investigate the Economic Affairs minister.
The MACC said it will investigate claims that an engineering company had allegedly transferred US$741,440 into a bank account bearing Azmin’s name in 2017.
UEM Group Berhad, in a press statement, denied it had an account at Maybank KL Main branch nor an account with the alleged account number as claimed by various social media sites. The company lodged a police report over the matter.
