Dear Diary,
It seems like I’ve been recording more shows than it is possible to watch but tonight’s offering of When Harry Met Sally on Astro’s Hits Movies (9pm) is a must-see/keep.
I didn’t have the chance to watch it on the big screen when it was released in 1989 (did we have PG ratings back then?).
The movie introduced me to Harry Connick Jr, who won his first Grammy Award for Best Jazz Male Vocal Performance for his work on the film.
As mentioned in previous diaries, I bought all his albums and this was the first one – and it was a cassette!
And who can forget Meg Ryan’s performance in THAT scene from which the title of today’s diary comes. I hope Astro shows Hope Floats one day, where Connick starred alongside Sandra Bullock.
Today also marks the start of the second season of The Titan Games, a sports competition hosted by Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock.
For football fans, at 12.30am there is the big Bundesliga showdown between Dortmund (57 points) and Bayern Munich (61) which could decide the destination of this year’s title.
The English Premier League will make a decision this week on a restart date with Manchester United vs Spurs scheduled to be the first match.
