Ramadan is a time that teaches moderation and mindfulness, a time for fasting and reflection.

It is a time for unity, beautifully embodied when royals from Perak, Selangor, and Pahang, among others, gathered to break their fast and share meaningful moments.

In Perak’s royal town, Kuala Kangsar, Sultan Nazrin Shah, Tuanku Zara Salim, and several other dignitaries visited the Ramadan bazaar on March 8. The bustling Kuala Kangsar Ramadan bazaar has 242 vibrant stalls, offering a wide variety of food and drinks.

Sultan Nazrin was delighted to meet the people at the bazaar and readily stopped to pose for photographs as he browsed the delicious offerings for breaking fast.

Elsewhere, on the same day in Pulau Indah, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah of Selangor broke fast at the Royal Malaysian Navy Base.

Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Naval Commander Admiral Datuk (Dr) Zulhelmy Ithnain. Together, they proceeded to the flight deck of the KD Pahang and KD Terengganu ships before moving to the KD Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah jetty for prayers and the breaking of fast.

Sultan Sharafuddin presented Ramadan contributions to three recruits and five recipients, whose families are battling chronic illnesses.

In Klang, Sultan Sharafuddin’s son, Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah, presented donations to orphans. A total of 2,302 orphans from the Klang district received Aidilfitri contributions from Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan (YIDE) amounting to RM345,300.

Tengku Amir Shah also donated RM99,000 during the Aidilfitri donation ceremony for orphans at Masjid Al-Islah, Kampung Sementa.

At this event, His Royal Highness also witnessed the handover of a cheque for a charitable donation to YIDE, amounting to RM90,000, contributed by TERAJU Ekonomi Asnaf Sdn Bhd with RM50,000 and Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional with RM40,000.

Meanwhile, in Kuantan on Sunday, Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, in a heartfelt gesture, personally prepared bubur lambuk (a traditional spiced porridge) for inmates at Penor Prison for the breaking of fast.

With the help of 50 inmates, Tunku Azizah successfully prepared around 2,000 servings in five-and-a-half hours.

Her Majesty distributed some of the bubur lambuk to the inmates with the assistance of Tengku Puteri Raja Puteri Ilisha Ameera Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

The KDPB Tengku Ampuan Pahang Bubur Lambuk Cooking Programme with the inmates was initiated in 2023, involving Penor Prison, Bentong Prison, and the Marang Prison in Terengganu.

Earlier, Tunku Azizah visited the Royal Pahang Weaving Workshop at Penor Prison to interact with inmates and present them with festive cookies and traditional snacks.
