Upin and Ipin Universe, the new upcoming open-world adventure game from Les Copaque and Streamline Studios, is coming out on July 17.
However, several allegations involving Streamline Studios have surfaced. A recent Nmia Gaming report alleged that staff were not paid on time and had to work for up to two months without pay.
Kakuchopurei reported last year that Streamline Studios Malaysia had yet to compensate its former staff. Furthermore, the Upin & Ipin Universe Steam forums appear to be banning those who raise these allegations.
We hear a lot of game industry issues from bigger companies on an international front, but to hear all this happening in our backyard is disheartening.
