Deputy Health Minister Datuk Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali has urged those who have been fully vaccinated to just show their digital certificates in their MySejahtera mobile application to enforcement personnel, instead of printing them out.
Several Malaysians had printed, and even laminated their digital certificates, as the government, over the weekend, relaxed rules for those who had been fully vaccinated under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
“You don’t have to print it (the digital certificate) out. Just show your certificate on your MySejahtera (mobile application),” said Dr Noor Azmi.
“Those fully vaccinated can also show the white Covid-19 vaccination card that is given to them after completing their doses.”
He said this would suitable for senior citizens who were registered as dependents by their children.
Among the relaxed regulations for fully vaccinated individuals include dining-in at eateries and inter-district travel at states observing Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan.
Dr Noor Azmi also added that the ministry and police were investigating claims of digital certificates being sold online.
A doctor had recently posted on Facebook that digital certificates – to “certify” that an individual had been fully vaccinated – were being sold at RM15 each
