BOXING fans can from today buy tickets for the Manny Pacquiao-Lucas Matthysee fight scheduled for July 15 at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur.
The cheapest ticket, as listed on Axiata Arena’s ticketing office https://myticket.asia, is RM488 while the most expensive ticket is RM19,888.
Tickets will go on sale from 4pm.
It is learnt the broadcasting deal between the organisers and Astro is still in the works.
Twentytwo13, had on May 22, quoted MP KL representative Azlan Kamarul as saying there were delays with a new government in place after the 14th general election, and the organisers had to revisit conversations with the stakeholders.
Pacquiao, a 10-time world champion, is also the promoter of this fight.
It remains to be seen if this event surpasses the greatest boxing event Malaysia ever hosted – between Muhammad Ali and Joe Bugner at the Merdeka Stadium in 1975.
Several other title fights will be held before the main fight, involving boxers from Malaysia, Thailand, China, Australia, Japan, Mexico and India.
