Dear Diary,
I find the SELangkah mobile application – to make contact tracing easier – more user-friendly than MySejahtera.
For the record, I have not downloaded both apps but use the QR code scanner via WeChat (Facebook’s QR scanner doesn’t seem to work anymore).
With SELangkah, I just had to register/link it to my WeChat. I did the same with MySejahtera but I’m required to fill up my details every single time. Perhaps it will be different if I download the MySejahtera app but for now, SELangkah will be my go-to app whenever I’m in Selangor.
I’ve also heard complaints of MySejahtera crashing rather often while some have told me that they have not been able to download the mobile application.
Anyway, advance Happy Fathers’ Day greetings to all fathers and single mothers out there.

STAYING SAFE
Brought my mum out for dinner last week – the first time she has eaten out since the MCO. Although there was a long queue, there were some seated in the restaurant playing with their mobile phones despite finishing their meals. Some things never change.
Apart from that unfortunate incident, the service was tip-top. The restaurant even provided small plastic bags to keep our masks clean. The food, as usual, was delicious and we are going back there for Fathers’ Day tomorrow.
Separately, an outlet selling fruits in Taipan, Subang Jaya gives free gloves to its customers to inspect the fruits while another shop gets customers to stand in a box with a sponge to sanitise footwear.
All of them follow the SOPs set by the government to make contact tracing possible.
Thanks for the initiatives and more importantly, not increasing prices.
VIRUS IS BACK
No, not the coronavirus but ‘tidak apa’ virus.
It comes after images of rubbish strewn along some beaches in Port Dickson was shared on social media.
Port Dickson Municipal Council president Mohd Zamri Mohd Esa told the media it was due to the increased crowds flocking to the seaside.
Sigh, what is wrong with some people?

Malaysia’s recovery rate from Covid-19 reached 94.55 per cent yesterday as 8,070 patients from 8,535 cases have been cured. In the past week, there has been one new death, taking fatalities to 121.
Worldwide, the number of cases surpassed eight million with deaths nearing 460,000 at the time of writing.
