The spirit of brotherhood and togetherness among media organisations is very much alive as evident in Twentytwo13’s Sila Lari, Jangan Duduk Fun Run 2018.
Radio station BFM dedicated time to speak about the 5km fun run on its ‘Bar None’ show on Oct 6 while Twentytwo13’s executive editor Graig Nunis spoke about the event on Bernama News Channel’s Bernama Today this afternoon.
Asiana.my, a media organisation, will send its team of photographers and videographers to document the happy faces during the run.
And the latest news outfit to support the run on Nov 4 at Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur is The Mole.
The Mole’s managing editor Datuk Nuraina Samad, who is the ‘captain’ of the run, has signed up nine runners for the event.
“We are pleased to take part in Sila Lari, Jangan Duduk Fun Run 2018 because it’s for friends, to support our colleagues in the profession and to support the event.”
She added: “Fitness is about passion and I love it. It’s great that this is a fun run and everyone will be having fun. We, at The Mole, are all fitness enthusiasts with some of us being avid cyclists and we have even taken part in triathlon events.”
The Mole was launched on Sept 16, 2011 in conjunction with Malaysia Day. The idea was mooted in 2008 by Datuk Ahirudin Attan or affectionately known as Datuk Rocky of the Rockybru fame.
He even came up with the name The Mole, short for Malaysia On Line. Ahirudin will also take part in the run.
The event is supported by the Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur Athletics Association (FTKLAA). Representatives from Istana Negara have pledged to participate in the event.
Other supporters of the 5km run include F&N Beverages, Kuckreja & Co and Mesuma Sports Sdn Bhd.
