Time for us to make a positive difference

It’s been going on for a while now and doesn’t look like it will end soon.

I’m talking about the Covid-19 pandemic and of course, the toxic politicking.

Almost every day I grumble about the situation. It’s disturbing that despite all the distress the people are going through, those who can do something positive about the situation are instead adding to the pain.

And I am ashamed to say I am one of them. I’m guilty as charged.

Besides complain and make angry remarks on social media, what have I really done to improve the situation? Nothing much.

What have I done to help those in need at this difficult time? Even less.

It’s time I did something to make a real difference, not just whip out my handphone and blabber away why I am pissed off with the rest of the world.

I don’t have to do much, just what I can manage for now. And if everyone does their part, we can make a world of difference.

Maybe a small donation to an orphanage or old folk’s home, pick trash in the neighbourhood, or just give moral support to an ailing friend or relative. Every bit helps.

That would be much more beneficial than endless rants.

Let’s do it together. Cut the toxicity and add positivity. Together we can make life better for everyone.

I’ll write about some initiatives in the pipeline next week.
