Pakatan Harapan has decided on its candidate for prime minister but Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says it’s not time yet to name the person.

In a Facebook Live session, Anwar said PH must refer to its Pakatan Plus partners – Parti Warisan Sabah and former Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia MPs, before making public its candidate.

BUY GOVT-APPROVED THERMOMETER GUNS

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob urged business operators to only buy thermometer guns approved by the Health Ministry’s Medical Device Authority.

He said faulty devices must be recalibrated and people who are dissatisfied with the temperature recording process can lodge a report with the government’s Covid-19 taskforce.

The Youth and Sports Ministry announced a RM10 million allocation for sports associations, sports activities and research and development initiatives.

The injection of funds is aimed at helping the sports industry which has been severely affected by Covid-19.

DEADLY HIMALAYAN CLASH

Indian officials say at least 20 Indian soldiers were killed during a clash with the Chinese army yesterday near the disputed Himalayan border running along the Ladakh area of Kashmir.

According to reports, the Indian and Chinese troops had fought each other with fists and rocks and it was the first in the border area since 1975.

TNB BILL OUTCRY CONTINUES

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) is being asked to explain its new billing mechanism which was ironically approved by the government. Questions have now been raised as to why the mechanism was approved if it burns a hole in consumers’ pockets.
