Dear Diary,
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announces an additional RM10 billion for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) under the Prihatin Rakyat Economic Stimulus Package.
Over in the United States, a Harimau Malaya has tested positive for the coronavirus. It is believed to be the first known infection in an animal in the US or a tiger anywhere.
Here’s how Day 20 of the Movement Control Order unfolded.
8am: SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT – Part 2 of WrestleMania 36. Yes, it’s scripted but it’s the only ‘sport’ we have right now.
8.02am: MIXED SIGNALS – Video games. Good or bad?

10.10am: GENEROU$ – Singer Pink, who has been cleared of Covid-19, pledges US$1 million to relief efforts. Hopefully, more artists around the world step forward to help (before they are infected).
11.43am: LOO-KING GOOD – Better not show the Mat Sallehs. Available in Singapore.
12.41pm: SAFETY FIRST – Please don’t rush to the bank.
1.35pm: SHORT-CIRCUIT – Social distancing reminder from SGAG’s Facebook page. Singaporeans rushed to Ikea before the city-state begins its MCO (or circuit breaker as it is called over there) tomorrow.
2pm: FALSE HOPES – Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaacob must be disappointed. Just a day ago he was lauding the drop in the number of MCO violators. It went up 51 per cent with 554 arrests yesterday. Also, new standard operating procedure on areas identified to be placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) will be introduced soon while Malaysians in Singapore are not allowed to return for the time being.
2.09pm: THE SHOW WILL GO ON – One Astro technical staff has tested positive. It has temporarily shut its broadcast centre to be sanitised. Programmes will go on as usual.
3.52pm: HE’S BACK – I’m sorry for putting this in today’s diary. Please forgive me.
4pm: TAKING CARE OF BUSINESSES – Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announces an additional RM10 billion for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) under the Prihatin Rakyat Economic Stimulus Package to help ‘Pak Mail, Mr and Madam Lee, Encik Muthu, Encik Johnny, Haji Salleh and Surjit Kaur’.
He also once again praised Malaysians’ creativity and picked out one which remixed his speech into a music beat.

6.30pm: EYE OF THE TIGER – This one is for Nadia. Hope you get well soon.
