Here’s a new TikTok challenge for you.
Record a 30-second video accompanied by the Jalur Gemilang song. Wave the Jalur Gemilang in the video. And add a caption to challenge three of your friends to do the same.
That, pretty much, is the #JalurGemilangChallenge initiated by the Information Department of Malaysia.
The contest, which ends on Aug 27, at 11.59pm, will see 10 winners selected based on the most number of ‘likes’.
This is just one of the many activities initiated by the department in conjunction with Merdeka. Several people have also put up pictures and videos of themselves with the Jalur Gemilang on other social media platforms, complete with the hashtags #JalurGemilangChallenge and #DemiNegara.
